I'm looking for help with substatnce dependency, I can't stop using and it's destroying my entire life! I have lost my job and I'm about to loose my home as well. My father is in prison due to his addiction and will be getting out next year if he makes it that long. What can I do to get him into an 12 step drug rehab center when he gets out on parole? It took years for my mother to admit she had a chemical dependence. Her addiction caused much pain and sorrow in our family and childhood was not very pleasant for me. As I got older and figured out that my mother was actually suffering from a chemical dependence I decided to find help for her. After doing some research on 12 step recovery I decided to have an intervention done on my mother. My mother went into 12 step recovery two years ago and today she is the mother I always wanted her to be.
